This is at a club I used to work at. It is a cover by local musicians doing "Sometimes Salvation" by the Black Crowes. The whole night a bunch of bands did Black Crowes covers. It was awesome.

Martina McBride has some emotionally touching songs that talk about tough issues: single parenting, disability, child and domestic abuse, etc. People can hate country music but they should learn to love her!

There may be other songs, but I don't have much time today. And since I'm in a slightly depressed mood, this one seems most fitting. I first heard it at the end of The Mist, but even without the movie thing going, it's still very moody and it makes me shiver every time I hear it.

@flaccid: Hmm probably Various Production - Bside, Tim Exile - Family Galaxy, Ratatat - Mirando, Danger - 11h30. I also listen to foreign pop from the 80s. Maybe these bands aren't so weird but I think it's stranger than most of the music posted here?

the amazing thing is how much is improvised. Th spotify version is a studio recording I think and the youtube one is live - so different and both immaculate. the music is extraordinary also, quite "classical" structure.
