As for today's breakfast, I was in a hurry and stopped at The Brothers Deli for a Veggie Wrap which I then always unwrap from the tortilla. It looks like a plate of roadkill, but it's really a delicious combo of scrambled eggs, tomato, onion, mushroom, red pepper, cheese, and salsa. They also have the most divine fresh-squeezed orange juice. All that for $3! http://www.thebrothersdeli.com/index.htm (Also, the Twins' season is finished, so that mug has been retired until March.)

@demander: @jvanalstyne: The Pantone mugs were part of the office Christmas gift to us all last year. I got that color because of a pureed spinach soup that I make that the office manager thinks looks absolutely gross (even though she likes split pea soup, which I think is absolutely gross). That color reminded her of my soup! The soup is, in fact, very delicious (cooked spinach, potatoes and onions pureed together, then stir in milk and mild cheese until it's melted and blended).

Okay, I was all proud of myself at Sunday's breakfast for this lame American attempt at beans on toast per the inspiration garnered from the Oct. 4 mission. I am convinced that although I used the Bushes Vegetarian Baked Beans, the sauce is far more brown sugary and sweet than the British Heinz beans, which appear to float in a tomatoey sauce, which in this situation would be a more satisfying flavor. Still, it was a reasonably tasty endeavor.

@demander: Mmm, some nice sharp cheddar. Well, again, the American version of sharp, which is probably only medium sharp by your standards, based on my experience while visiting. Also, I confess I drained off some the sauce so that the toast wouldn't get as soggy.

Here's to a speedy recovery! When I was about 10, I had four permanent molars pulled preemptively due to my apparently small jaw. I am now the proud owner of not four but FIVE wisdom teeth, which all have room to stay. Number 5 is a smaller, "supernumerary" tooth which always generates a comment from my dentist.

@x-u: I'm not so fond of the mango taste. The strawberry/banana (I think) one isn't so great either. Nope, this is my favorite.

@rabbitdan: you can get this in just about every decent-sized Dutch grocery store. And according to the label you can't read, they now have smaller sized packs as well, so I expect those to turn up at kiosks and sandwich places.
