Only certain people "knew" who I was. The only person who knew that I was Link from Twilight Princess was dressed up as Sailor Moon's BF, that guy with the mask. And he was also like 17. (I'm 27) It was fun. None of my friends are dorks like me. Glad you liked it!

Mice and computers. I was a weirdo. I had several pet mice their names were Pearly, Chocolate Drop, Cookie, Dorothy, Mouse of the Rising Sun and Disco Jason. Disco Jason lived to be three years old. I programed my first game when I was 8. It was a magic eight ball simulator.

Are these the ones that required a wall track, and you had wheels on the bumpers to help guide them? I never understood the obsession with these (or slot cars for that matter) when you had remote control cars, maybe simplicity is bliss? I think I do remember that show, some of the tips were modding it to run on 4.5v by adding a 3rd AA, I think one was cleaning the brush contacts with an eraser.

Yep eraser cleaning, trimming plastic to lose weight, maple syrup on the wheels for better traction. And yes they had the wheel bumpers. I had the rc car obsesssion too. But these were more affordable with all of my poor childhood friends.

I was big time into remote control cars. First car was a used frog, then I messed with turbo hoppers (since ironically toys r us cars were faster than the slow stock tamiya frog), and then the first professional remote control car I built myself was the tamiya hotshot II. That thing last forever, one of the toughest built tamiya cars ever.

When I was a little girl, I didn't have dolls and stuffed bunnies, no. I had toy fire trucks, mail trucks, an extensive collection of Hot Wheels, and several toy versions of this. I was in love with the 67 Mustang. I'm sad I never got to actually drive a real one.

@rabbitdan: I suppose part of it is that I saw them out on the street every day and I just liked them. The late 60s models were the original and the best-looking. By the 80s it had become a piece of shit. The most recent model does a better job of channeling the original. I believe you are meeting someone in a while who can also speak to the virtues of this vehicle.

Had two friends that each had '67 Mustangs. We would take them out in snow or on wet, leaf-covered roads and do 360's. It was quite easy to do, albeit in hindsight, not all that safe.

When it first came out on vhs I was really scared of Ursula, so I'd watch the first 20 mins or so and then rewind to the beginning. So I'd miss the parts where Ariel is on land. But that's not too bad because Eric is nothing worth shaking a stick at.

Oh geez, I think Prickle was my first childhood crush. Hilarious trivia aside, Gumby was brilliant, and it's good to hear you think so too!
