Heavy rain over the past few days has caused some local flooding. This is overflow from one of the local ponds which has burst its banks.

  @rabbitdan: I'm sorry, but I have to laugh at you on that one.
  @discomeg2: IPA is my favorite, too. If it's in your market, I can't recommend Lagunitas IPA highly enough. It's from California and only made it to Minnesota a year ago. It is my current favorite! The Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale IPA was really good, too. Mmmm. Now I'm really disappointed that the liquor store didn't have any Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale yet when I stopped after work.

  *slurp* Even the next day I still love this photo! My cat has become obsessed with watching the water in the tub before I pull the shower lever. I'm sure that one of these times she'll actually jump in, because she's a spaz and loves playing in the tub anyway (when it's dry).

  @merendis: It's not crazy. It's both scientifically fascinating and sculpturally beautiful in an ephemeral way, not to mention the pleasure in watching a small process from start to finish. If kids can be told what's crazy then so can we. If someone thinks they're clued up enough to tell others what's crazy and what isn't they're probably...
  I actually get quite bored of being told I'm crazy. But let's not get started on that.

There's a gorgeous waterfall about a forty minute walk from where I live. I took this shot on of the few days this fall where it wasn't raining.

At a nearby park, there's this lovely pond and if we're lucky, we see lots of ducks and geese. There weren't many this day but it was nice to see the fountain running.

This small waterfall is alongside the main road in Ketchikan. The really cool thing is that it runs right under the road and comes out the other side.
