I took this photo during open mic night at Jim's Coffeehouse.
Jim is an energetic friendly fellow in his late 60's who owns a beautiful little rustic basement coffee shop. He sells a bottomless cup of coffee for only $2! Best deal in town. I go here every first Thursday of the month for open mic night. It's an amazing atmosphere, very comforting.Dec 18, 2009 16:45 by pensandpencilsgalore-

I'm sure a "bottomless cup of coffee" is some sort of expression, but to me that sounds like there's nothing in the cup :p

San Antonio Taco Co., Nashville, TN
Although it it's not really in my Top 3 favorites, I eat at SAT CO at least once a week because it's in walking distance from work and I can eat for $3. It's also fun on a stressful day to sit outside and watch the Parking Nazi from the Panera next door attempt to direct cars from the complete opposite side of the parking lot.

If you're from the PA/NJ/DE area, you know about the goodness that is the Wawa convenience store. They have awesome coffee, candy cane hot chocolate for the holidays, great deli sandwiches, the BEST breakfast sandwiches and other awesome goodies. I didn't take this pic, but it's of the Wawa not far from my house.

The Brothers Deli, skyway, downtown Minneapolis. They have excellent salads, awesome sandwiches, and the best pastrami around, but I go there most often to pick up one of their hardy, inexpensive breakfast specials on my way in to work. Though today, I did just go there for a cup of clam chowder for lunch.

@athanie: This is probably the one thing that bums me out about being vegetarian. Variety is indeed (one of) the (many) spice(s) of life. In a place like this you've got, well, egg sandwiches or cheese sandwiches. Not always the case but is quite a lot of the time.

The Edge Coffeehouse. It's located right off campus and is wonderfully convenient for study sessions or study breaks. They have the best coffee and a huge selection of soups, sandwiches, and salads (a lot of it is vegetarian and vegan friendly too).
Sadly, I haven't been there today, so this is a pic from their website.

@rabbitdan: As far as being authentic Mexican food it's far off--instead, it's kind of like fast food Tex Mex. The chain is owned by McDonalds and they do their best to cram many calories, salt, and fat into each item on the menu. And as a result, it's delicious!
lol on the lack of workplace alcoholism.
