it was a birthday-present from a friend, it's been hanging on the ceiling above the stairs for about 3 or 4 years now.

This was given to me as a farewell gift when I left a previous agency. It was illustrated by a past colleague and yeah, it was supposed to be me wearing my "I am unique!" shirt from threadless... also and my prominent paunch. I thought it's a very accurate portrait of me.

On the other side is a collection of signatures and stuff from colleagues. This is more awesome than getting something that I can buy myself.

I was told during a drinking session that the reason why it was made like a round doll thing was because he wanted to say that even if life is hard, i will always bounce back. Why the hand is reaching out is very obvious.

I don't own a camera! ( Hence the lack of Photo-Based-Tweaks from me ). However this wonderful work by Scott C ( http://scott-c.blogspot.com/ ) hangs on my wall ( as well as a few others, but this is my fav ).

This is a portrait I had made for my wife's birthday this year. She majored in British history in college and is quite into period films/novels. She didn't know anything about it until it was unveiled to her on her birthday. It was made by my friend Melissa using only whatever reference we could find online and through Facebook photos.

I just bought this, so it's not technically on my wall YET, but I'm planning on hanging it as soon as I get it framed. I found it in a vintage store in Austin and I think my heart skipped a beat when I saw it. I love posters and I love Woody Allen and I love this movie. Dream come true. Best $45 ever spent!

Three months after I moved to New York I had an emotional meltdown whiile sitting at the bar with my uncle. I had no idea what I was going to in this place, so far from home. He listened to me sob about everything from missing family to missing Tex-mex and then he told me to , "Man up and grow a pair". A few weeks later he painted this painting for me. Next week, I will celebrate my 2nd year of living in NYC and this painting will always be a reminder that sometimes you just need to step up and grow a pair.

This was given to me by a Vietnamese man who had just arrived from a Refugee Camp. It was folded up tightly, in a little brown sandwich bag, and given to me in a humble manner. When I got home I unfolded it, and realized it was 2' by 3'. I later found that he had worked for two years on this.....the finest needlepoint I have ever seen. It actually looks like a painting. It is now framed and in my office, and one of my greatest possessions!
