The lens on that camera is a Zeiss Contax 50mm f/1.4 from the mid 1970's. It's the oldest thing I own, but I use it from time to time!

This coffee grinder is from my great-great-grandmother, which means I'm the fifth generation in my familiy who owns it. We still use it to grind coffee, there's not beating freshly grinded dark roast coffee!

A Methodist hymnal that belonged to my great great grandfather. The hymnal was published in 1856. He signed his name to the inside cover in 1877 ... he would have been 23 at the time.

This is probably the oldest thing I own.. I don't know HOW old it is, but I guess it's old enough..:P It's a stone, of some kind, and it's supposed to be on a ring.. It belonged to my grandmother and she gave it to me years ago..

This pair of shoes originally belonged to my mom and are older than myself... I guess they're around 30~35 years old. They're in a very good condition (and surprisingly, not smelly at all :D). I hardly wear them though.

Electrical Test Equipment from 1960. Leeds & Northrup Co. Cat No. 4760 Wheatstone Bridge - Tests Electrical Resistance. I have old cameras and videocameras (late 70's and 80's, I have lots of 80's stuff, but this is the oldest item I could think of in my home.

This is what's left of my dad's old toy car collection. They are a bunch of Wolseley and Lensey cars, all produced around the 50's. He played with them fervently when he was a kid. They are around 60 years old now, and since my dad is no longer with us, these cars are among the memories I have of him.

This is an original lithograph from Audubon's _Birds of America_, first edition.
Today we call these tree swallows. They are little acrobats with a liquid song. My wife adores them. It took a fair amount of sleuthing on my part to track this down (pre-Internet, mind you), frame it and give it to her as a birthday gift.
