Nothing terribly exciting. Needed one for the keypad garage door opener, so bought 4 of them (replaced all the smoke detectors, regular 9v die after about 3 months, really annoying changing them all the time)

My new TV (LE37B650) :-), so far i'm loving it. Plays almost everything of my 1TB usb drive. Dlna integration is poor though.

A bottle of water. Finally Imsdal sells water with fruit flavor WITHOUT artificial sweetener. Who the heck came up with the idea to sweeten water, anyway? Yack! This water was nice, though.

It's not here yet, but I splurged on this today: 32" LCD + wall mount. It's being installed Thursday. (and yet i totally forgot to buy the one thing i needed to: milk)

  According to Wikipedia the term "recorder" has been in use since at least the 14th century, originating from the use of the word "record," meaning "to practise a piece of music." There ... now we both know. :)

  The center fielder on a friend's softball team does the big-white-glasses-frames-with-no-lenses thing. The song is not my usual genre but the lyrics were innocuous enough (I often like the sound, but not what they're saying). The guy's look kind of reminds me of Har Mar Superstar.

  @lesamonster perhaps...but there's a lot of work gone into the facebook app, flickr support etc etc and I wanted to acknowledge that. I'm not out to rip people off. I spend my working day looking after websites with 2bn+ page impressions in a pretty do-eat-dog world...I don't want TT to be like that and so I didn't want to start off by devaluing what Bill (and the community) had created.

  Quick note: I was desperately searching for a way to donate to this site, especially in its absence of ads, but just couldn't find one. Then I saw the auction, and well... I hope it all works out! But, you definitely should have a donation/membership option. Some of us love this place enough that I'm sure we'd be willing to put up some cash in support of it.
  Also, maybe messages, not just forums? I'm afraid of just how the forums would devolve...

  @merendis: I've been working on seeing completed missions and comments within a profile today...hopefull get a beta of that out soon. I think any forums system we add would have pm. I like invision power board...got that running on a few high traffic sites and it works well.

  That has nothing to do with my bad experiences though. More like rain and spiders and earwigs all over the inside of my tent because of a stupid hole. fjghdkfjghdkfhgkdjhg gives me shivers just thinking about it.
