This rolling beast separates the kitchen from the office. We picked it up at http://www.readingfrenzy.com/ and absolutely love it. The other side is all business books/magazines.

  There are books mixed in, and yep lots of magazines. It's two-side and serves to divide our open space a little. This side faces the kitchen, and the other side faces my desk. We got the rack/shelf from the bookstore.

  its a "every man should have these masterpieces" , or "the books no library is complete without" kind of books - from bible until today, many many classics, philosophy ,poems etc. they were released one book per month... so you needed to collect them over time.

I'm moving house soon, so these had to be unpacked, and are only in a very rough order (from top left, clockwise: general stuff, poetry, 20th century literature, epic classics, geeky books, religion).

This is the office bookcase, which contains many books that I have designed and/or written. It's much more colorful than my home bookcase, which is dark with reflecty glass doors.

You aren't really able to tell by my books but I love reading fiction. I just get the books at the library because I can't be bothered to buy them.

Anyway, here are the few books I own: Japanese studies, Tolkien's The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings chronicles (in English), and then dictionaries in: Japanese x3, English, French, German, a Dutch language book and Spanish dictionaries on top. I am so not a language nerd >.>.

  @soarkaios haha thanks, I bought those when I was all obsessed with LoTR. Had a hard time reading the book though, I'm not a native English speaker and it's kinda 'old' English so that was kinda difficult...

  @mithredat: I wasn't actually able to finish LoTR, I got half way and quit. I finished the hobbit though, that was amazing. My favorite book. I might pick LoTR up and finish it though one of these days, it's one of my favorite movies.

  @pensandpencilsgalore: It is! I've only been here a year, and books are incredibly unbelievably expensive here. So, I don't have too many, and haven't been in the business of buying doubles of what I have at home, but this one I had to have!
