I have this in my queue. I want to roller skate again but I don think I could balance anymore. (used to be skates had 4 wheels that we not "in line" and even if they still have them, I'd rather not risk breaking anything. tsk. sad.)

@stephie: think they use the four wheel skates. That is what I find appealing as well. I was a figure skater when I was younger and "tried" to do aggressive roller blading which was very hard. I like their outfits though. And it is kind of a badass thing to throw around at parties.

It's actually a pretty decent movie, granted you can tolerate Drew Barrymore.

Always wanted to try that in warm, clear waters. If only they could guarantee "shark free."

@superc0w - I'd love to do the thing where they put you in a titanium (or whatever's the strongest metal ever) cage and you stay inside while the sharks swim all around you. THAT would be awesome.

Racing sounds interesting, but I think I'd go for an "defensive driving" kind of course. I'd suck as a bodyguard, but at least those skills would be helpful.

I took a course in high school. Essentially they give you tips on what words to skip and still get the context. Then there's this machine (probably have a computer program to do it now), where it has a box that scrolls across and only lets you read a few words at a time (at a certain rate). This forces you to read faster (sort of like a treadmill for your eyes), and eventually you work your way up. I think the last time I was tested I was reading almost 400WPM.

@toyotaboy: Nice. 400WPM would be a big help with all those boring work papers. I think I saw a site that has some kind of practice software for this, maybe I'll actually find time to check it out some time soon.

My wife has spurts of sewing, I think she needs a better machine (got a cheap "brother" brand machine), which loves to snag and break the line (bobbin holder sucks). I think if we had a decent machine we might use it more.

I wish I could sew (with an actual sewing machine, can only mend stuff and not well). would love to be able to make things like curtains and skirts.

My friend recently posted the link to the recipe for Carmelized Cauliflower. It looks delicious! I'm going to try it out on my parents for dinner tonight.

@breanna: I made it and my somewhat-food-conservative parents loved it. As did I! It's not a hard recipe, except for how the cauliflower falls apart as you slice it. The larger slices I roasted. The smaller pieces and crumbles I sauteed. All delicious.
