I was having trouble deciding, so I went on to iTunes and sorted by most played. This song popped to the top, and I think it's good enough. Close second was Come Undone by Duran Duran. Yes, I grew up in the 80s, and I love the New Wave.

  Just referring back to this day to write my long-overdue blog entry about today's mission. I LOVE THE 80s. And Duran Duran. "Rio" is one of my favorite albums start to finish. And I really like the one the "Come Undone" is from, as well. I lately have a renewed appreciation for Tears For Fears and the Little River Band. Among others. Oh, don't even get me started :D

I'll pick this one. I've loved Queen since 1975 and this song embodies a lot of the spirit by which I conduct myself.

I heard this song last year and I immediately related it to my life and I have thought of it as my theme song since.

I thought about finding an obscure indie rock song but this song came on the radio on the way to the grocery store and I was reminded how much it really gets me going and energized. I never grocery shopped like I did today. Thank you Survivor.

i don't know why but it just gets me everytime... bobby bland, cab calloway, leadbelly, the white stripes and many more have done versions of it... they are all good!

How nice to get back from vacation and have my mission picked! This song came out the year I graduated college. I went straight from a college radio DJ to a professional DJ. My theme song was "Radio Girl" by John Hiatt (http://bit.ly/adxHSu). "Radio girl, radio girl, living for that 3 minute song, welcome to the real world. Transistor sister, that's right mister. Radio girl." I'd play it to end my show each time. Still think of it as my theme song.

I had this conversation in college. But I think the question was "What song would play if you walked into a room if we all had our own theme song?" I thought about it for days. This is what I decided upon. I don't know why. I guess I like the sound of it.

  Nice choice! My jazz choir in high school did a weird arrangement of this roughly based on Ella's version. They made me do the scat singing because I was the only one in the group who could stay in key outside the melody- yikes!
