I love almost all sandwiches. Cold or hot. The sandwich I order the most when going out and about is most definitely the Rueben. Delicious.

My friends and I went to a Scandinavian restaurant--got a gravlax sandwich w/ bacon, avocado, and horseradish sauce on a rye-ish bread. Came with some pickled onions/beets and a bowl of tomato soup. Good stuff!

I ate out for lunch today and didn't get to cook, but my favorite sandwich is as follows: Grilled ham and cheese ... Rosemary Olive Oil bread, Boar's Head Honey Maple Glazed Ham, Jarlsberg Lite Swiss Cheese and Honeycup Mustard. Using herb-infused oil instead of butter on the bread while grilling makes the MOST AWESOME SANDWICH EVER!

My favorite sandwich is probably the Turkey Apple Brie from Mitchell's Deli in East Nashville. It has turkey, jalapeno cranberry relish, apples, honey mustard, and brie on a toasted hoagie.
The photo is actually their ham and brie sandwich that I got for the first time yesterday. I wanted to try something new.

Not truly a sandwich, as I don't have any ingredients for a favorite sandwich at hand. Not even sure I have a 'favorite'. But today I treated myself to another favorite in the bread family: 'paasstol', a bread filled with an almond paste, sold around Easter (and it's cousin, sold for Christmas): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerststol (although the one I got is a very cheap version from a grocery store, so with fake/cheap filling)

There's this old fashioned bakery near where I grew up that has the most amazing grilled cheese sandwiches. They make their own bread, and they're just to die for. I'm aware I have the palate of a small child, but it's sooo worth it!
