My hunger was pokin' at me, pokin' at me. It was tasty, but one bite was enough for me as I prefer fruity candies. It was better than the original.

I've eaten a lot of crazzzzy stuff. But this one was the hardest for me to get down visually. Balut is a fetal duck egg, hard boiled. The flavor was mellow, like a hard boiled egg yolk, but the visual and texture are very unique.

I'm not feeling well, so I hardly ate anything today. However, I've been craving the last thing I ate that I had never eaten before. I went to a Cuban/Puerto Rican restaurant when I was in Florida in March. I had empanadas with guava paste and cream cheese in the middle. Yum, yum!

I was excited to be getting my second new food of the day, a Black Bean Burger at the Acadia Café in my home neighborhood. (Un)fortunately, I was completely waylayed by how delicious this Surly Abrasive Ale (double IPA) was that I enjoyed while I was waiting and completely forgot to take a picture of the sandwich. But it's a new beer that I've never had before, so that still counts, right?

I wasn't going to do this one because I have eaten a lot of weird stuff. But then the bf brought home these apple and cheese cinnamon rolls. I don't think I've ever eaten them before.

I like sushi. I spent a large part of my life being (mostly) vegeterian. Then I started smoking weed. I love sushi so I've eaten a lot of fish. I don't like them cooked though. I've only eaten cooked fish once. I don't like mayonnaise. But I've eaten emu, alligator, quail, game hen and lots of octopi and squid for weird meats. Me and the bf really like bison tacos. There are weird farms up in this New England, so you know the meat is coming from a legit place. The alligator was at a seafood convention. That's just meat. I have a hard time with some plants because I have a low-tolerance to acidic fruits and veggies which happened as I got older. Which pisses me off because I like peppers and tomatoes. I like to get bacon and tofu sammiches because it is better than red meat. And I like to see people's faces when I order it. 회덮밥/Hwedupbap (Korean-style raw fish with rice/vegetables). I eat sashimi but never from a Korean dish. The chili pepper sauce added some pep!

Pierogi wisniowe roughly translated to cherry pierogi. Not really cherry, they're a different kind of sour cherry, but cherry is the only english word.
Anywho, they weren't great. Maybe if they were somehow fried instead of boiled. The dough was just too thick and gummy. Filling was good though.

Spicy chicken kebab and salad from Trieste Café on the ground floor of my building. I eat there fairly often and I've had kebabs from other places, but this is the first time I've tried Omar's kebab. Served with a delicious garlic-yogurt-mayo aioli.
