Thanks! my boyfriend took me and my best friend there the weekend before finals weekend so we could have one last relaxing day. This waterfall actually isn't on a path of any sort it was an actual hike =)

I don't have a pic in my phone, but it would be if where my parents live. They are on the far side of Camano Island, 20 minutes drive to the nearest general store and almost an hour to the interstate. The are in the woods, near the beach, only one neighbor on the entire road and have about an acre. The kids LOVE going to grandma and papa's house! It's about 2 hours from Seattle

I grew up on my parents farm in Iowa... that's my favorite place :( Sadly I can't find a picture for the life of me and now I'm heading to the Academy of Science in San Francisco, what a difference 4 years can make :) Happy Tweaking!

I like it when you've traveled deep enough into the middle of nowhere that you're worried you won't have enough fuel in the car to get back to that gas station you've passed 2 hours ago, before the road turned to dust/gravel. You become really wary of the halfway mark on the gas gauge. And the car is filthy--but that's part of the experience.

Anyplace off the beaten path. I try to stay off the interstate when I drive somewhere. This was a little vineyard and winery I happened past in northwestern Illinois a year ago. I might visit it tomorrow, as I am on the same little getaway this weekend. The wine wasn't that great but it was a beautiful drive getting to it.

Lovely part of the country, and a great place to escape to.
About 15 mins walk from Craster, a gorgeous harbour village where kippers are still oak smoked.

Awesome. They don't have many (any) castles in the US. The best you can do is go to the re-creations of the early European settlements/Native American sites.
