The actual furthest away I've been from the American Midwest was Budapest, Hungary. I am currently the furthest away from home I've been in 8 years, in London for a week. This is my temporary abode.

A few weeks ago I went to Las Vegas for my friend's high school graduation. :) It is 579 miles away, a nine hour drive. It was awesome. :)

vegas has it's moments.. and certain attractions, but if you don't have something specific to see, it can get boring (unless you really like to gamble)

I have been to mostly everywhere in the U.S. however, I have not been anywhere outside of the U.S. and that makes me very sad...I still have to tackle: Cali, Arizona, Maine, Alaska, and Hawaii...

I spent 6 months in Sydney as part of an exchange program. 16,093 miles by kayak, according to Google. It should take me 56 days and 7 hours. I would think you could knock an hour or two off if the currents cooperate.

Ketchikan Alaska. I live in Georgia, but in 2008 got to go visit my sister in Alaska. It was the first time I had seen her in 28 years, so it was a huge deal for me and I had the best time ever. I would love to get to go back again.

I lived in Streatham then Southark for a while, right near to the Pink Elephant Shopping Centre (went to South Bank Uni). Also gre up in South Woodford. I'm a country boy at heart though.

Furthest I've traveled is to Lesvos, Greece. Would love to back (esp. with a digital camera so I could take a million ocean pics, couldn't do that with the 110 camera I had with me at the time) but I don't think I could stand the heat these days.
