stop working so hard to prove yourself worthwhile. stop trying so hard to get people to love you. the real issue is that you don't love yourself. figure that out, or it's a looooong and painful road. (a road I'm still on)

Good one. I think there are lots of people who wish their future self would have told them this at age 16. But it is/was such a normal part of being a teenager, certainly in those days. Not sure what it is like today.
