My boyfriend said he didn't think they could improve on the original and they did, and he's a karate kid lover. :) I thought it was good. Um, I like it more because I don't like daniels girlfriend bs and all that. She bothers me, lol. They're about the same in quality.

I saw the midnight showing with my best friend right before moving. I wanted to like it, but it was meh. A little disappointed with a couple of choices they made. The most memorable thing about the movie was this annoying girl who sat right behind me and mocked the whole movie. I wish they had left well enough alone when the series ended. I did love the TV series.

If I have gone to the theatre for a movie since Star Trek, I don't remember. As a longtime fan of all things Trek, I didn't know what to expect, but I think the young actors did a really good job of channeling the original actors and characters without turning it into a parody. And even if you aren't a Star Trek fan, you wouldn't be in the woods—it was just a good science-fiction action romp.

This is the last one I remember watching in the theater.. I watched the midnight showing for the employees. I used to work at a theater and I stopped going when no one I knew worked there anymore and movies stopped being free. EF paying for things.

There's this really cool, old theater in Austin called the Paramount, and last weekend my friend and I went to go see Lawrence of Arabia there. Very cool!

Not as teary as people made it out to be, though I think the franchise has probably run out of ideas. We only go to one cinema these days, The Rex (http://www.therexberkhamsted.com/). For a little over the cost of a seat in an Odeon, you can sit on your own red velvet swivel chair, with a candle lit table and glass of wine from the bar behind the seating

There were some cool stunts and special effects. Just thought it was ok in general though. I don't think it lived up to its hype.

I agree - although the concept, stunts and special effects were incredible, the storyline wasn't strong enough for the film to live up to expectations and hype.

"Splice" at Sneak Preview. Kinda weird, but worth seeing. It's a science-fiction-horror film. Two young scientists and lovers who begin involving human DNA in their splicing of animal genes.
