31¢ change from floral purchase, dime found on floor on my way back from lunch, 25¢ change from beer purchase at the ballpark, 50¢ change from soft pretzel purchase at the ballpark.

I'm a rarity in California, even more rare in Silicon Valley.... I always have cash, thus I always have lots of change. Normally not this much, but today I present my daily coinage.

I recently cashed in a bunch of change so I'm starting my collection again. At least it has a use (cashing it all in for no fee gc's).

I hate spare change. I dump it as soon as I get home, so I basically collect it (oh, the irony). Until at some point there is enough to "sell" it to someone actually looking for change. (Someone working at a small community/volunteer organisation that needs change for its business, but getting change through a bank is a hassle.) The result of today's collecting was only one actual coin, so this is a shot of my current collection.

didnt really collect to many coins today, but all my small useless coins (5¢ & 10¢) usually go into this metal bowl that also holds other randomness.
