I had a really fantastic weekend with the visiting @saxchik and her husband, and our other friend who also lives here, and my other friend, plus it was my birthday weekend (not that I'm all that excited about being a year older, 'cuz I'm not), and @saxchik and I went and got tattoos and that was awesome, and then we went to a Twins game and they gave me a birthday Twins-O-Gram. I was in such a good mood when I went in to work today, and I've been getting a lot done considering, and then it turned out to be Rag on Kelly Day.
*poof*
So I endured the rest of the day, got home, and was glad to find out that a condo meeting was cancelled. I went on the actual imaginary vacation of having some therapeutic physical activity for an hour planting a few ferns that a friend gave me, which somewhat calmed my mind, and now some beers have been further helping, as well as episodes of "White Collar" and "Supernova." In addition, my neighbor who knows I love London let me know today that airfares apparently have dropped somewhat, so I've been imagining that I might be able to afford an actual geographical vacation later this year.
Wow. Thanks for listening :)

What is a Twins-o-gram?

@sethness: The Twins are Minnesota's major league baseball team. A Twins-O-Gram is the personal greeting you can pay to have flash up on the scoreboard during the game.

@toyotaboy: You didn't like the old one?!?! I think the reboot is really good. David Tennant is an awesome Doctor.... I think Matt Smith is winning me over as my favorite, though.

I'd scuba dive on an outgoing tide at Oolong Channel, Palau. The dive is effortless, in only 30 feet of water. The tide carries you along like you're in a recliner chair floating downstream on a river... or you can do effortless cartwheels. The sunlight weaves bright warm spiderwebs on the sand. Riding the current, we see cabbageleaf corals, foot-long baby sharks, soft corals, and young sea turtles. At the end of the ride, we grab onto a mooring line at the edge of a sudden drop-off underwater cliff. Safe 6-foot long grey reef sharks circle the mooring line as we do our "safety stop" and wait for the boat to pick us up. I've done this... 34 sharks milled around us at the end, the most I've ever seen at one time. It was the high point of my life, a tranquil moment of sheer life and beauty and peace and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. If nothing else, imagine that you can't bring your cellphone, your boss can't talk to you, and you can...FLY (underwater).

I love drift diving, it gives you so much more time to admire the wildlife. Also, more bottom time :D

About 100 miles from the Dutch coastline last Monday I seen six dolphins jumping in and out the water as they swam along; It was quite picturesque.

I've done that-- except for the high speed part. High speeds and loud noises near whales would be irresponsible, like bringing a ghetto blaster radio into a kindergarten during nap time. Off Molokai, near Maui, I scuba'ed and heard whales under water. After the dive, a mother and child breached (jumped) about ten yards off our bow. What a day. Did you know, (I THINK this is true) the humpback whales that come to Hawaii don't eat the entire time they're there? That's months. They just have their calves and chill out. Unimaginable, isn't it. http://whalewatchmolokai.com/molokai-whale-watching-facts.php
