It was. I lived in Hiroshima for 6 years. This is the park adjacent to my favorite "kouminkan" (a goobermint-run community center similar to a YMCA). Kouminkan, imho, are the BEST part of living in Japan.
This photo is actually a series of photos stitched together. I'm hoping to move back to Japan ASAP: i miss the stable income, polite people, kouminkan, decent nationalized health insurance, and being able to talk to people.
