Better, as in "Which product on this counter is better?" They both produce the same quality just different. Better is a good thing but unqualified, it leaves a semi moist rank taste in my mouth from their lack of ability to utilize the normal power of the human mind, its a tots lack of ability init.

retard. people use it as a derogatory word and it's not! it's a condition. it doesn't mean the same thing as stupid and calling slower or dumber people "retarded" is an insult to actual mentally impaired people because the use of the word to abase. Mentally impaired people are not lower than the rest of society.

"Retarded", and "Gay" too. I am heartily tired of people-- especially computer nerds-- using "Gay" as a derogatory term for something that's somehow unworthy. It means "happy" or "happily homosexual", and nothing else, people!

Fear in the expression "No Fear". Fear can be a very good thing. Especially when it prevents you from doing something really stupid.

Not sure I hate specific words. But I do get annoyed when people use the word 'normal' as a way to invalidate the way other people lead their lives. (I do kind of hate sparkly gifs, but this one is a great illustration, so I took it from http://www.graphicshunt.com/images/not_normal-971.htm and you'll just have to suffer unless you like animated gifs.)

I don't like the prefix "semi". I have no idea why. It is like my fear of spiders. My distaste (I also don't like the word hate actually) exists for no logical reason. I don't like the word hate because it is too rigid and final. I only use it in extreme situations. Also the word guru especially when pertaining to web design or social media. There's no such goddamn thing as a web design guru/ninja/rockstar. etc F*ckin web designers. That's it. You can be a shitty web designer or a talented one, no need for extra titles. etc etc #rant

"Panties" because it makes me think of a pedophile. "Diva" because it's overused and 99.9% of the time on someone who doesn't fit the bill. "Hater" because it's so often used against someone who simply has an opinion that differs from the person who is using the word.

The "N" word, especially when used by black people, who seriously ought to know better. It should be left intact in our history, such as in books like "Tom Sawyer" and "Huckleberry Finn", to remind us of the subjectivity and ugliness of the wall built between the races. It should be erased from our future for exactly the same reasons. Every time a rap singer uses that word, it brings a little more hate into the world. A wall doesn't care which side has built it, so there's no positive reason for anyone to use the "N" word except when describing our ugly past.

I DO hate the double standard. black people can use it, but not white people. Either it should exist or not.
also, if people want to end racism, then stop talking about it:

@toyotaboy: Absolutely. When black rap singers use it, it's strictly for shock value, and dammit they should be interested in tearing down the wall, not building it up.
Agreed about "not talking about racism". When Obama was elected, the only thing the announcers wanted to talk about was Obama's skin color. Dang it, if the only thing that matters is the content of a man's character, then SHUT UP about his skin color.

"Utilize" and "Enhance your <verb>ing experience". When a wannabee uses these words to sound smarter, it has the opposite effect. The next time some marketing weenie asks you what techniques his company can utilize to enhance your shopping experience, tell him you'd like a free bat you could use to take out the hopped up idiot marketing weenies while you shop.

Really? Maybe it depends on whether one likes kittens or not, but I think it's a charming word for...ummm.... that. Isn't it strange, though, that we have nicknames for buns, that, and mens' bits, but not pretty nicknames for the more G-rated first-base places like hair, cheeks, and lips?

"Unit" and "Product" when describing something you're building, buying, or selling. These words reveal that you take no pride in what you do, that it's all so firetrucking generic to you and next week you might be making, buying, or selling cheezwhiz, hammers, guns, or houses. Seriously, would you EVER buy your home from a guy who calls it a "unit"???
Also, "Professional", as applied to behavior and appearance. It reveals a twisted psyche in which it's preferable to dress like a prisoner with short ugly hair and behave like a soulless, ethically vacant, moneydriven tool.
