This is a Macintosh SE built in 1989, still works perfectly. Despite its age it has Microsoft Office installed, and boots in 46 seconds. The original documentation states that it cost $3750 when it was purchased. It has had an upgrade to a 20MB hard drive. It has 2MB of RAM. The processor is a Motorola which is running at 8Mhz.
You can just see in the corner of the picture an iMac, which has a 320GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM and runs a 2*2.66Ghz processor. It boots in 53 seconds.

That is the coolest. Where did you get it from? I love the specs, I remember having an A3000 (?) similar to that, and being delighted that I could now run programs that needed all two meg of RAM...
It also looks rather apt next to the newer iMac :D

I love it! Thanks for keeping it in working order. I'd have gutted it and made a fishtank by now, but that is cool.

Sad thing is i remember using these in grade school. All i did was play games on it. For some reason our school didn't use windows.

Funny that as far as we've come, the old one still takes less time to boot up. :)
