It's the story of a man who fakes choking in restaurants so he can get pity money from the people who revive him. He also does this so he can feel like someone in his life can love him, even for a few minutes. I really love this book. :)

I thought this book was interesting--the main character in this book is so repulsive (but in a good way, I think). Did you see the movie/did you like it?

Yeah I did watch the movie before I read the book. I thought Angelica Huston was perfect for Victors (main guy) mom. Have you seen it?

I had this book on rental for a while. I'm still disappointed that I never read through all of it. From what I did read it was really intriguing.

@aimeejean: I saw the movie, it was ok (book was better, but really, when is that not the case?) I agree that Huston fit the role of the mom well.
