I've heard that they won't play "Mr. Roboto" live anymore because it was written by an ex band member (who filed a lawsuit against the band). It's too bad really. I think that song summed up the goofy early 80s pop culture vibe.

The drivers in Oregon/Portland are pretty civil. Of course, there are the drunk drivers, people who get into accidents due to carelessness, etc. But on a normal day, I do not experience drivers such as these, and almost all are good drivers. They let you in if you’re merging, they don’t usually run red lights, they stop for pedestrians at crosswalks, etc.
So.
- It is a given that in any general location, there are some good drivers and some bad drivers
- I perceive that the drivers around me are good drivers
- This suggests that I am one of the asshole drivers, instigating pet peeves in my wake :\ - Jul 29

Yeah, Portland's got a bunch of bridges spanning the Willamette and Columbia Rivers. http://bit.ly/9E6YRc It's a neat place to visit if you ever have the chance to go to the West Coast. Good microbreweries here too! : )

This mission makes me realize how popular mice are in cartoons--there's also Speedy Gonzales and the mice from Rescuers Down Under aside from the others listed here.

Not a TV show--but all of Don Bluth's films during this period were great. Good animation, voice acting, and a good plot for a kids movie. Afterward came An American Tail, Land Before Time, etc. etc.

@kreestar: Ah, not far away at all! Too bad on the tickets. I'm pseudo-following it and have seen some of the games. The tie w/ England was lucky--it's funny though because the US is taking it as a win, England as a loss. I have yet to see South Africa v. Mexico but from what I hear, it was an exciting game!

Love the site--too funny. The one towards the bottom about proportion--I had the exact same thing happen to me. Client couldn't figure out why a circular logo was mismatched and had to be resized for a wide rectangular banner.
