I am reading Henning Mankell's "The troubled man", which has a character dealing in hedge funds. So I tried to study that by reading the Wikipedia page. I still an none the wiser after 5 minutes. Except that I know I would never be able to be involved in something like that.

@stephie: thank you :) This was taken last year, around the same time. Right now, the leaves are slightly smaller, but in three weeks time, everything will be covered and some birds may make a nest right there again.

Sorry, too late for an outdoor mission tonight. Instead, you will have to take my word for it when I tell you I almost stepped in a hole in the middle of the sidewalk as I went grocery shopping earlier today. I am pretty sure it wasn't there last week, like a tiny sinkhole the size of one big stone.

Feb 28's "What was the first conversation you had today about?". Hardly a conversation, but on my way out to a seminar, I told a colleague where I'd be all day, in case someone needed me (yeah, like I'm so important) and then it segwayed into trying to answer some issue that apparently was a problem. Which I managed to defer to email "to deal with at a later time".

This is my old but trusty bike. I got it over 12 years ago, after the old one got stolen. Which wasn't even an old one, but a brand new one, that got stolen two months after I bought it. Anyway, this one is old, dirty, and rusty, but it gets me where I need to go. So I'm all set.

I like spring better than summer. Unless it's a fairly 'cool' summer, I hate excessive heat.
1. "Summer vacation" ;)
2. Ice creams
3. Not needing a sweat shirt or rain gear
4. Refreshing summer rains
5. Sun setting later, so it feels like the evenings are longer

Aha. So'll take a scenic drive to the ocean (or pond) on a nice day with pretty sky, when there's no excessive heat. We'll stop for ice cream at least once, and end with cake, b-day or not ;)
