5 or 6 (1986). It was the Apple iic. I mostly tried to learn "apple basic"... I think apple basic II (don't quite remember). We played a game called Conan and couldn't get past the 2nd screen. Remember my dad telling me about bbs/internet/etc and trying to connect (failing) ... not sure he knew what he was doing. Good times. I think my brother still has it.

My first pet that was MINE, and not the family pet, was an orange and white hamster named Mojo. He died shortly after getting him, 1 week. I tried though. Then I got salix, the siberian dwarf, she died after having offspring and the one surviving one (fought through the illness) made it and was my pet until he died at an old age. Good times. All 3 of those hamsters were within the same year, and then the survivor (Rom) died a year after that.I want a parakeet, but I hear they're bad for the lungs, plus, I'm sure it'd disturb the house members.

I've just been having this idea reinforced a lot lately: don't speak about anything you aren't 100% knowledgeable about to strangers, and if you do, say you are ignorant in this area. Seems many people don't understand the idea of speculation.

I dislike summer, but I look forward to the days where the humidity level is just right. I look forward to the sun sometimes, but generally I like to hide from it. I look forward to bike rides on the cooler summer days. I can't think of anything else, hah.

If you are curious and go to seizurerobots.com to see what it is, it's a flashy picture of a robot. Don't go there if you have seizures from flashy colors. That's why I didn't include the picture. It has NSFW links too now :( Back when I found it in 2001 it didn't. So yeah, all those reasons, linking to midi directly.
Never get sick of it.

if you've got health, appreciate it!!! focus on what a blessing health is, how you will be setting a good example. people use other peoples actions to justify or evaluate theirs all the time. i know my arrhythmia is likely to return (statistically) in the next year or two, but i want to enjoy this while i have it.

if you start doing an exercise routine of any kind, don't give up early. it can take a long while to see noticeable changes.

i never could because of my congenital heart disease, and i just had a valve replacement and ablation, bla bla, so I'm in a good place I've never been before. i just decided to order p90x and if i can do it, you can do it. anaerobic is easier than aerobic on my heart so it's perfect for me. my body is changing, but no weight loss yet. my skin is looser from fat loss so i must have lost fat and gained muscle. i've only lost 2lbs of actual weight in 3 weeks, but i hear that at about week 5 or 6 people started to drop the fat. it is easier for me to exercise because my guy is doing the exercise with me, partly., but i think i'd do it even without him. i've never been able to exercise this much in my entire life and now i can, so i will!

thanks for the responses. I've worked hard to lose about 85 pounds over the last year without ever really exercising. now I've got about 25 left to lose and I want to be more active for more than just the weight loss. I've tried so many activities hoping to find something I love but nothing has really stuck. I even spent months training for a 10k and completed it, but still there was no habit at the end of it! I've recently quit all my bad habits/colic skills and desperately need to replace them so as to have an outlet...I really want that THING to be exercise...just feels impossible to become "athletic" for te first time at 30 years old, you know?

@sethness As I see it, this is a picture of unconditional love. it's like a mothers love, she gives and gives. They rarely get thanked for all the work they do, laundry, cooking. All of this stuff is expected, and it is her job if she has chosen it, but thanks is nice. I don't think it was intended as an environmental thing but it very well could be. i've not looked it up.

I passed a display with shirts like that and laughed too. I can't remember what was so amusing about them. Though, I do know I think it's usually silly to wear letters on your shirt as it's advertising, etc.
