Bill is still around I think, he's been kind enough to answer a few questions for me about the code (which is good btw).
FYI - I've asked on twitter what features people would like so far I've got:
- support twitpic thumbnails (released today)
- better mobile support (possibly iphone app)
- search missions / members
- marking your complete missions
- friends list
- forums?
I can't promise them all but I'll try. If you have more suggestions, please post them on twitter @tweaktoday.

@lesamonster perhaps...but there's a lot of work gone into the facebook app, flickr support etc etc and I wanted to acknowledge that. I'm not out to rip people off. I spend my working day looking after websites with 2bn+ page impressions in a pretty do-eat-dog world...I don't want TT to be like that and so I didn't want to start off by devaluing what Bill (and the community) had created.

Quick note: I was desperately searching for a way to donate to this site, especially in its absence of ads, but just couldn't find one. Then I saw the auction, and well... I hope it all works out! But, you definitely should have a donation/membership option. Some of us love this place enough that I'm sure we'd be willing to put up some cash in support of it.
Also, maybe messages, not just forums? I'm afraid of just how the forums would devolve...

@merendis: I've been working on seeing completed missions and comments within a profile today...hopefull get a beta of that out soon. I think any forums system we add would have pm. I like invision power board...got that running on a few high traffic sites and it works well.

@soarkaios you're right. You can edit submissions by clicking on the text and you get an inline editor (for the text not the images), but this is missing for comments. Added to the list :-)

I'd gladly help out free of charge. Although I don't know anything about rails (yet). I'm almost finished my ruby book. Then rereading it again to work through the examples then onto my rails book!
