This newspaper mysteriously appeared on the opposite corner of my desk earlier in the month. I don't know who left it there, and I never got around to looking at it because I didn't know why I should. Then it went away for a day or two, and then it returned, taking up residence on my top stacky thing. I still haven't really looked at it.

I am starting my fourth beer, as a matter of fact! But it's really just a chance to spend a little more time with my friends before they leave the state :(

I'm going to go with my condo. As far as I can tell, this building came into existence in 1894. I also have this cuckoo clock (http://tweaktoday.com/users/kellydna/submissions/8028) which has been handed down (http://kellydna.posterous.com/representin-0) through a few generations, but as I ponder the question, I realize that my building is probably older. Though technically, I only own about 50% if you go by purchase price, or about 65% if I guess what I could sell it for now. This photo is from happier times last December when we got about 16" in one shot.

I would have walked around the neighborhood and done a bunch of these, but it's really windy. So we have a leaf on the sidewalk, a coarse cement garden paving stone that will be part of a pathway eventually, and the plank that is one of the steps to upstairs. All within 10 feet of my door.

This is pretty darned close. It's the first Bell's Oberon of the season, and Oberon compliments steak particularly well. You may remember that I luv salad, and asparagus and zucchini are my favorite vegetables. The only thing that would make this better would be if I had cooked everything outside on the grill, but it's a touch too early in the spring for that. Also, I usually eat asparagus plain, but today a little Hollandaise sauce seemed like a good idea.

I used to go to Curves regularly, but since I only do that sporadically now, I make sure I walk home from work every day. It takes about 35 minutes. When it's a little warmer, I'll go on recreational bike rides.

The only things I name are my hard drives and iPods, and I name them after my pets, and this is only because "Macintosh HD" is so non-descriptive. Robbin is my rabbit, CJ and Dasie are the cats. My iPod is Daisy, after a previous, short-lived rabbit. I haven't named either of my iPhones.

It's my first name with part of my last name. My intention was that if someone were wondering if it was really me, they'd see the -dna and think, "Oh, -dna. That's almost like Xxxdna. Yep, that's her." But most people don't really pick up on where the -dna is from—most think genetics first.
