When I was a little girl, I didn't have dolls and stuffed bunnies, no. I had toy fire trucks, mail trucks, an extensive collection of Hot Wheels, and several toy versions of this. I was in love with the 67 Mustang. I'm sad I never got to actually drive a real one.

  @rabbitdan: I suppose part of it is that I saw them out on the street every day and I just liked them. The late 60s models were the original and the best-looking. By the 80s it had become a piece of shit. The most recent model does a better job of channeling the original. I believe you are meeting someone in a while who can also speak to the virtues of this vehicle.

  @kellydna: I'll be sure to ask him. Cars have never quite caught my imagination for some reason. I like the detail of being into a particular year though.

  I completely understand, I'm in love with the 1968 Camaro, the 1969 Chevelle (my first car, although it was 25 years old when I drove it), and the 1978 Trans Am (the Bandit's car... drool). It's never too late! They're still out there, go find yourself one.

  Haha I love the 60's mustangs... I'm 25 and I have models of the 64 1/2 and the 65 mustang on my bookshelves

  Had two friends that each had '67 Mustangs. We would take them out in snow or on wet, leaf-covered roads and do 360's. It was quite easy to do, albeit in hindsight, not all that safe.
