Didja know this scene wasn't in the original script? Crosby and Kaye were just messing around, but the director thought it was hilarious, so he reworked the script so they could include it in the movie.

It is not what you think it is. As you can tell by the picture name, it's a well-placed gourd. Both parties pictured, were drunk and trying to cheer up another friend.

A boyfriend gave this to me when he returned from Egypt. He said it's supposed to be the Egyptian Goddess of Love, but he was probably just trying to get laid.

Umm. . . I don't know a heckuva lot about egypt, but I used to love ancient mythology when I was little.

@passepartout: His hips would suggest that... but wasn't one of the things about art in his time that it didn't apply the strict rules about body proportions, including smaller women? I'm thinking of that famous (infamous?) relief of him and his wife in which they're kissing their babies. Then again... this probably wasn't crafted during his time, eh?

@merendis: his heresy was his challenge to the official religion and the ultimate power of the theocracy. He shelved the priests (temporarily) and tried to establish a religion around a single god, Ra. Ra is in the papyrus, above, as the red orb with rays of love hitting Ahkenaten.
Ahkenaten deliberately exaggerated his physique in his commissioned portraits. I did see a 'normal' papyrus of him and his family. They had normal proportions.
