I am a student filmmaker, so my older sister got me this crappy toy Clapper Board thinking I could use it in my projects. Problem is that it's a flimsy piece of wood with no dry-erase surface that is of use to NOBODY.

That is the reason why film makers originally used chalk...
@leopicado: Right, but chalk? In the 21st century? I think not! :)
@lewisfilms: Some things are better left alone... unchanged.
Ha!! I use one of those in my classroom for when we're doing Reader's Theater. I gave up on chalk the first try cuz it doesn't come off. Cheap indeed, but still useful as a classroom prop.
@sydtheskeptic: You're a schoolteacher! How cool! What grade? I'm gonna guess 1st. :)
@lewisfilms: Seventh :o) I could never be an elementary school teacher- too many boogers.
@sydtheskeptic: haha! I had the worst English teacher in the whole wide world in 7th and 8th grade. I do remember some interesting books we read though, like "The Giver" and "Soldier's Heart."
