In two weeks, we're leaving our N. California home and driving with all our belongings across the country to a new home in upstate NY.

  @rabbitdan: Yeah, it's really somethin. The gas stations there are interesting though, have gigantic stuffed bisons and really off-the-wall stuff.

  @kellydna - it's sort of job-related. I grew up in Ithaca, NY and am headed back there after 16 years away - but a new job is definitely the reason I can do this now. I'm excited - well, except for that whole moving-in-January part.
  
  @jackcomrie - we're taking the slow and scenic route. It should take 10-12 days. Driving across the country is not something I've done a lot, so I want to enjoy it. And it sounds like Wyoming is something to look forward to!

  I've made this trip twice. Once on the southern route, and once on the northern route. I preferred the southern.
  I'm right around Syracuse, btw. We'll be neighbors :)
