If it gets long enough, would you wear this: http://tiny.cc/eDLhq
If so, I think it should stay.

@athanie: *Looks. Looks again* AAAARRGGHHHHH!!!!!........ *five minute delay before eventual return* That's slightly too close to something I might see in a... a... I don't think I want to think about that.

@coco-tidan: I think that was on the cards anyway. It's beginning to get in the way of my food. Not good.

But the rest can be used to harbor leftover food, perfect for when you're hungry again.

@athanie: You disturbed me from trimming the top lip! Moments too late to make me stop. Anyway, you've clearly never had a beard, not that I would recommend aspiring to have one. Food in beard is not cordon bleu.

@rabbitdan: lol. I know about beard etiquette (as much as I can know about it anyways)... Every person I've known who has a beard has made that joke though. Sorry to be a beard-poser.

@rabbitdan: not cordon bleu true, but handy none the less

@athanie: @coco-tidan: Having food in my beard makes me feel like I'm about five years old. Which is bizarre bearing in mind it's a beard and most people think it adds ten years to me. But heck, don't be sorry. What is a beard poser anyway? I quite like the sound of that. "Beard posing competition on Primrose Hill. All welcome! Entry one pound sterling"

@rabbitdan: Do they not use the word poser over there? It's someone who tries to be someone or something they're not. Nowadays (when you're not in grade school anymore) it's used in a very non-serious way.

@athanie: In England, to my mind at least, poser means someone being pleased with their flash car or really great new trainers or something. So they're posing. Showing off. It's also used in a non serious way here. There's a sense of the falseness you were talking about too. I think that's why I like the idea of it being a competition, because anyone can do it. The technique is in the posing, not in the beard.

The beard can stay. I know I don't like to shave. Where does it fall on the soft--coarse scale?
(Yes, it took me all day to come up with that.)

All beards are worth keeping!
