Improve the high school curriculum. Come up with a new class every student should take.

Detailed sex education classes from 6th grade forward.
"Real Living" classes - finance, checkbooks, banking, planning, rent, utilities saving, managing your money, borrowing money, how to get a job/apartment/buy a car etc. Give the kids something useful in their heads instead of civil war history and the scarlet letter.Jan 04, 2010 08:53 by redd141

YES! I do think that history is important (or else it will repeat itself) but "real living" is equally important! NONE of that was taught. I think you should add in cooking (what happened to home ec?) and a few other basics.
