I would offer them plates of marmite on toast. If they:
a) liked the peace offering, they'd surely not want to cut off further supplies?
b) hated it, they'd abandon the plan to take over a planet where the inhabitants contemplated ingesting such an abhorrent concoction.Failing this, we could always lob the little jars in their general direction - they're an ideal size to fit in the palm of the hand.
