This is Larry Mims, one of my best friends. He's a yachtie, circling the world with his girlfriend. She was learning to tie the "bowline" knot and not having much success, when Larry decided to make a game of it: a game like strip poker. Each time she tied the knot successfully, he'd lose some clothing. Each time she failed, she'd undress a bit. He wrote a poem to commemorate the event, and I illustrated it. It'll be in the July issue of Sea Yachting magazine. This is a sketch of Larry in his "tighty whitey" jockey shorts, holding a bowline knot.
