Improve the high school curriculum. Come up with a new class every student should take.

Driver's ed, mandatory in Grade 11, but no earlier. Kids won't be so quick to drop out of school if they can't get a driver's licence.

I agree but I think it should be taught as is in Finland. 1000 hours or so are required! before a licence is even granted, and thats not a full licence.

They made us take a drivers ed class in 11th grade... it was really boring, all they did was make everyone watch videos that were made in the 80s about how to drive. I like your idea of making graduation a requirement to get a license though.

That is a great idea! Being the father of a 17yo who recently received her license makes me agree all the more.
